Κατά τη διάρκεια της παρουσίασης του iPhone 7 / Plus o Phil Schiller χρησιμοποίησε τον όρο "κουράγιο" για να περιγράψει την απόφαση της Apple να αφαιρέσει την θύρα 3.5mm από τα νέα μοντέλα iPhone. Ο συγκεκριμένος όρος δεν χρησιμοποιήθηκε καθόλου τυχαία μιας και αποτελεί ξεκάθαρη αναφορά στον Steve Jobs, όπου σε συνέντευξη του το 2010 ξεκαθάρισε την στάση της Apple απέναντι σε τεχνολογίες που η εταιρεία θεωρούσε παρωχημένες όπως το Flash στις φορητές συσκευές (2011), το Optical Drive από τα MacBook Air (2008) ή το Floppy Drive από τα iMac (1997) κ.ο.κ.
