Λογικό, μόνο το ΦΠΑ ή VAT στα Βρετανικά να υπολογίσεις (17.5% αν δεν κάνω λάθος)…

Γιατί στην ΟΥΣΑ δεν έχουν αντίστοιχο ΦΠΑ το οποίο είναι προσαρτισμένο στην τιμή;

Όχι, στην ΟΥΣΑ υπάρχει μόνο το Sales Tax το οποίο πληρώνει ο τελικός αποδέκτης του προϊόντως (πχ iSquare) και τέρμα. Μετά όμως η iSquare βάζει το ΦΠΑ και πληρώνεις το iPad +ΦΠΑ% σε σχέση με την ΟΥΣΑ. Αλλά και να μην ισχύει αυτός ο υπολογισμός ακριβώς, από την στιγμή που το ΦΠΑ είναι μεγαλύτερο του sales tax στην ΟΥΣΑ πάλι θα το πληρώσεις ακριβότερα δλδ iPad-sales tax + ΦΠΑ%

Το Ars Technica σε εκτενές δημοσίευμά του αναφέρει ότι ο νέος επεξεργαστής της Apple, A4, που θα κάνει το ντεμπούτο του στο iPad δεν είναι βασισμένος στην τεχνολογία Cortex A9 αλλά στην παλιότερης γενιάς Cortex A8.



Πολλοί πίστευαν ότι ο A4 θα ήταν βασισμένος στον τελευταίας τεχνολογίας πολυ-πύρηνο Cortex A9 παρά το ότι η Apple δεν είχε δώσει πολλές λεπτομέρειες για την αρχιτεκτονική του. Ο Jon Strokes, του Ars Technica, ωστόσο, διαφωνεί με αυτή την άποψη και παραθέτοντας διάφορες πηγές υποστηρίζει ότι ο A4 είναι στην πραγματικότητα βασισμένος στον Cortex A8, όπως τα τωρινά iPhone και iPod touch.

As I watched the videos and read the reports of the iPad in action at the launch event, I was thoroughly convinced that the device was built on the out-of-order Cortex A9, possibly even a dual-core version. But it turns out that the the A4 is a 1GHz custom SoC with a single Cortex A8 core and a PowerVR SGX GPU. The fact that A4 uses a single A8 core hasn't been made public, but I've heard from multiple sources who are certain for different reasons that this is indeed the case. (I wish I could be more specific, but I can't.)

To MacRumors έχει λάβει τις ίδιες πληροφορίες από δικές του πηγές οπότε η πιθανότητα να ισχύει η συγκεκριμένη φήμη είναι αρκετά υψηλή. Ο επεξεργαστής του iPad, βέβαια, τρέχει σε υψηλότερη clock speed (1GHz) απ'ότι οι επεξεργαστές στο iPhone και iPod touch (600MHz).

Μόλις το διάβασα και εγώ!Ε καλά φαντάζομαι στο επόμενο iPad θα βασιστούν στον A9.Και μακάρι να βάλουν τον A4 στα επόμενα iPod Touch και iPhone όπως λές.Τελικά η Apple όντως έφτιαξε κάτι καινούργιο σαν προιόν;Δεν νομίζω ότι το iPad είναι κάτι ο εντελώς καινούργιο αφού τα περισσότερα τα διαθέτουν και τα iPhone και τα iPod Touch.

Μια νέα φήμη κάνει λόγο για εκπαίδευση των υπαλλήλων στα Apple store στην πώληση των iPad αρχίζοντας από τις 10 Μαρτίου.

Η εκπαίδευση θα έχει στόχο την εξοικίωση των υπαλλήλων με το νέο προϊόν της Apple και θα ξεκινήσει στις 10 Μαρτίου ενώ οι καταναλωτές θα μπορούν να αγοράσουν την συσκευή από την Παρασκευή, 26 Μαρτίου.

Αν και η ακριβής ημερομηνία έναρξης των πωλήσεων του iPad δεν έχει εξακριβωθεί, σύμφωνα με τις πληροφορίες η 26η Μαρτίου ακούγεται πολύ πιθανή. Η ημερομηνία αυτή αφορά τα μοντέλα iPad που διαθέτουν μόνο Wi-Fi ενώ τα εξοπλισμένα με 3G μοντέλα θα αρχίσουν να καταφθάνουν στα καταστήματα μετά από ένα μήνα από την κυκλοφορία των πρώτων iPad.



Και ενώ οι υπάλληλοι αρχίζουν την εκπαίδευση στις 10 Μαρτίου, οι τηλεοπτικές διαφημίσεις πιθανόν να ξεκινήσουν να προβάλλονται από τις 15 Μαρτίου δίνοντας ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στον e-book χαρακτήρα της συσκευής.

Η αναφορά κάνει λόγο ότι όσοι αποφασίσουν να κατασκηνώσουν για την αγορά ενός iPad θα παραλάβουν ένα "ιδιαίτερο δώρο".

Πριν λίγες μέρες αναλυτές εκτιμούσαν ότι θα υπάρχει έλλειψη στο iPad εξαιτίας σημαντικής καθυστέρησης στην παραγωγή τους. Η Apple απέρριψε επίσημα αυτούς τους ισχυρισμούς με ανακοίνωση που εξέδωσε λίγες ώρες αργότερα. iPad Has The Ability to Make Emergency Calls?


Στην τελευταία beta έκδοση του iPad SDK βρέθηκε η δυνατότητα για κλήσεις εκτάκτου ανάγκης.

Συγκεκριμένα το GumballTech ανακάλυψε ότι αν εισάγεις τον iPad passcode lock λανθεσμένα μερικές φορές τότε το iPad δείχνει την οθόνη κλήσης εκτάκτης ανάγκης.

The above was easily achieved by enabled a passcode lock, and then entering it incorrectly about 5 times. You can then slide for a emergency call.

Η οθόνη κλήσης έκτακτης ανάγκης έχει διαμορφωθεί για το iPad με πιο μεγάλα (wider) κουμπιά και στο κέντρο το πληκτρολόγιο.Είναι ασαφές εάν αυτή η δυνατότητα απαιτείται από την FCC.Ωστόσο, εάν το iPad μπορεί να κάνει κλήσεις έκτακτης ανάγκης,είναι πιθανόν να χακαριστεί,και να πραγματοποιεί τακτικές τηλεφωνικές κλήσεις.

Γιατί άσχημο είναι να μπορούσες να συνδέσεις το iPad με ένα Bluetooth Ηeadset και να δημιουργείς κλήσεις ? Αντιθέτως πιστεύω πως σε κανέναν δν θα φαινόταν κακό να το χρησιμοποιεί και ώς τηλέφωνο!

Είναι όντως γεγονός: Το πολυαναμενόμενο iPad της Apple θα είναι διαθέσιμο για αγορά στις ΗΠΑ το Σάββατο 3 Απριλίου!

Επίσης η Apple θα αρχίσει να δέχεται παραγγελίες (pre-orders) από τις 12 Μαρτίου.

Φυσικά μιλάμε για το μοντέλο iPad εξοπλισμένο με Wi-Fi καθώς το iPad με Wi-Fi + 3G αναμένεται να αρχίσει να διατίθεται προς τα τέλη Απριλίου.
