UPDATE:

Well its new years eve and we thought you'd all like Bluetooth for your iPhones. So we made it. Donors of course will be updated a lot more frequently - but this development cannot go unstated. Our team has successfully been able to demonstrate a 'pwnage' of the bluetooth chipset allowing anyone to write/implement a fully functional Bluetooth Stack that runs on your iPhone, and this will be our next step. A shout out to Schmave (blues) for putting in long hours of hard work and being our main guy. This could not have been done with out him.

Anyway onto the app details! Plenty of you BlueTool's will be pleased to note:

Final app deets:

1. Ultimately this application will probably be Free and Open Source,
2. It obviously will look a lot more flashy, with a clean and easy to use GUI,
3. (We think) the app will be able to complete your wildest dreams. (Nothing in the 'requests' section I don't see cannot be done for the most part!)
4. Did I hear something about Bluetooth Super Hack? You can bet your bottom dollar we're working on it!
5. The MAC address can be spoofed, and we will possible add this ability to the final release.

Installation instructions included in the download

This is little app for all our supporters out there. Although it doesn't have a GUI yet and and can only be run though MobileTerminal, this pre-release is to show our work and that we are well on the way to fully functional iPhone Bluetooth.

This app will print the MAC address of any near by, discoverable Bluetooth devices after a 10 second scan, which is more then the Settings app achieves while scanning for devices! It does not yet set the iPhone device discoverable or pair devices to the iPhone, but we are well on the way to implementing those features and creating a GUI for our little sampler.

We just wanted to get something out to you guys before the year was up and let you all know we are working hard!
So get ready for BIG things to come!

καλα δεν ειναι και τιποτα το σοβαρο...μπορειτε να δειτε μεσω του terminal τις γυρω συσκευες που εχουν ανοιχτα τα bluetooth.Μονο αυτο.Πα'ολα αυτα τα παιδια αξιζουν συγχαρητηρια.

Αναλυτικες οδηγιες:

1. download the release from this site.
2. copy the file to anywhere but remember where, im going to assume you copied it to /var/root (roots home directory)
3. turn off wifi.
4. turn off bluetooth in preferences app
5. start an ssh session to your iphone WITHOUT USING WIFI (BT AND WIFI ARE ON THE SAME FREQENCY!!!)
alternatively you can login to mobileterminal
6. type su
7. type your iphones root password: this is alpine if you dont know what it is
8. type cd /var/root (just to be sure)
9. type chmod 777 bluesn0w
10. type ./bluesn0w

**make sure your BT devices are powered 'ON', Bluetooth is 'Enabled' and your devices are 'Visible'!!!**

Hey Guys,

Its update time again!! We have been working around the clock to update and patch the terminal release and prepare for a GUI release. GUI release will be donor only, at least at first. We are hoping to have it out and the repo ready by Friday January 9th for all our donors to access! We hope to eventually release it to the public but we haven't finalised dates for that event yet.

We though you guys might want to see a sneek preview 1.2 (aka. GUI #1). So here are some screen shots and we will release soon when we feel ready.

1. Download and extract:
2. Using winSCP or CyberDuck - ssh into your iPhone and copy bluesn0w-1.1.1 to /var/root/
3. Rename it to just bluesn0w
4. Turn off WiFi, stock Bluetooth and everything from the settings app
5. Move away from all microwaves (yes we tried it - Bluetooth dosen't work when your heating up last nights dinner : ) )
6. On your iPhone, go to MobileTerminal and type su followed by enter, and type your root password (default is alpine)
7. Type cd /var/root
8. Type chmod 777 bluesn0w
9. Type ./bluesn0w
10. Enjoy!

φανταζομαι αφτο 8α ειναι προιμο σταδιο το τελικο 8α πατας το blutooth και θα βρισκει συσκσευες ετσι >>??

Παιδιά, έχω αρκετές απορίες πάνω στο θέμα bluetooth στο iphone. Μόλις εγκατέστησα το Sweettooth και κάνοντας scan βρίσκω τις συσκευές που έχουν ενεργοποιήσει το bluetooth αλλά όχι αυτές εμένα. Αυτό πρέπει να συμβαίνει; Επίσης δεν μπορώ να αλληλεπιδράσω μαζί τους. Αυτό πρέπει να είναι φυσιολογικό αφού το sweettbluetooth είναι ακόμα σε αρχικό στάδιο.

Για δώστε μας λίγο τα φώτα σας όσον αφορά τι προσφέρει αυτή τη στιγμή το Sweettbluetooth. Το έχει δοκιμάσει κανείς;
